A debit card is a convenient way to draw money from your bank account in England. It is a good idea to let your bank know that you will be leaving the country and regularly using your card in England. Visa and Master card credit cards are very widely accepted in Britain, but American Express and, particularly, Diner's Card are not so widely used.
